Building on the success of Indian Film Festival (IFF) 2025, its inaugural edition, the Indian Film Festival 2026 returns to Singapore with a dynamic celebration of Indian cinema’s diversity and enduring appeal. The festival presents a curated lineup of 21 films across eight Indian languages, spanning multiple decades, genres, and regions.
This year’s programme brings together iconic classics and contemporary milestones, showcasing Indian cinema from the 1970s to the present day. The selection includes landmark films featuring some of the most influential and widely recognised figures of Hindi cinema, whose performances have shaped popular culture and cinematic storytelling for generations. The festival also places strong emphasis on regional cinema, presenting acclaimed films in Tamil, Malayalam, Assamese, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, and Manipuri, in addition to Hindi. Landmark and award-winning titles such as Roja, Soorarai Pottru, Village Rockstars, Hellaro, Gypsy, Aattam, Ananta, and Boong reflect the richness of storytelling traditions across India. Together, these films underline the plurality, depth, and global resonance of Indian cinema, reinforcing the festival’s role as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange between India and Singapore.
