The Hong Kong Film Gala Presentation, presented by the Asian Film Awards Academy, is a grand programme that showcases exceptional talents of Hong Kong’s filmmakers to diverse audience across different regions. Our mission is to establish strong relations and bring together film professionals from ASEAN countries and Hong Kong for an in-depth discussion of the art of cinema. Since 2021, we have brought our spectacular events to international cities such as Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bali, Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Yogyakarta and Jakarta, showcasing the boundless creativity and unparalleled diversity of Hong Kong films.

《香港电影巡礼》由亚洲电影大奖学院主办，致力推动电影和文化交流，展现香港电影业的魅力及优秀的电影人才，让各个地区的观众继续探索新世代的香港电影，以推动香港电影业的持续发展。《香港电影巡礼》举行期间，将提供平台让各地的电影业界与香港电影人共建更紧密的合作关系，并汇集来自亚洲地区的电影专业人士与香港电影人深度讨论。自2021年起，亚洲电影大奖学院已在新加坡、吉隆坡、柬埔寨金边、泰国曼谷、峇里、日惹及雅加达等多个国际城市举行活动，让观众一同感受香港电影的感动、创造力及多元性。

The Asian Film Awards Academy (AFAA), a non-profit organisation, was founded by Busan, Hong Kong and Tokyo International Film Festivals with the shared goal of celebrating excellence in Asian cinema. Aiming to promote and recognise Asian films and its talents, AFAA highlights, strengthens and develops Asian film industry through the annual Asian Film Awards and several year-round initiatives.

Our year-round events and programmes are held with the objectives to promote Asian films to a wider audience, expand the film market within Asia, and build and sustain connections among Hong Kong and international film professional. Masterclass Series – in conversation with filmmakers, Journey to the Fest – Student Visit to International Film Festivals, Asian Cinerama – Film Roadshow, and Young Film Professionals Programme – overseas training and work-placement, are examples of our year-round programmes. These programmes could not have held successfully without the financial support of Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK), formerly known as Create Hong Kong, and Film Development Fund (FDF) of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government. The AFAA has worked to promote, educate, inform and develop knowledge, skills and interest in Asian cinema among the industry, students and audiences in Asia and beyond with the support of film festivals and cultural organisations.

亚洲电影大奖学院是由釜山、香港及东京国际电影节共同创立的非牟利机构，旨在对国际展现优秀的亚洲电影作品。学院致力于推广和表彰亚洲电影及业内人才，每年均会举办亚洲电影大奖及多项活动，以加强业界发展，并向世界各地宣扬亚洲电影文化。

亚洲电影大奖自2007起举办，学院的成员来自大奖历届的提名人和得奖者。奖项包括最佳电影、最佳导演、最佳男、女主角等。成员能在每届亚洲电影大奖中，投票选出各个奖项，亦会参与学院在亚洲及全球举办的各类活动。

学院的年度活动包括大师班系列、学生电影节观摩团、亚洲电影巡回放映，以及电影专才海外训练计划，目标旨在向更多观众推动亚洲电影、扩大亚洲电影市场，并让香港与国际电影工作者建立及维系关系。这一系列活动能顺利举办有赖文创产业发展处及电影发展基金赞助。在多个电影节及文化协会的大力支持下，学院向亚洲及世界各地的电影工作者、学生及观众推广亚洲电影工业及文化，传播相关知识，令公众对亚洲电影有更深入的认识。

The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDAHK), established in June 2024 and formerly known as Create Hong Kong, is a dedicated office set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) under the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau. It provides one-stop services and support to the cultural and creative industries with a mission to foster a conducive environment in Hong Kong to facilitate the development of arts, culture and creative sectors as industries.

The Film Development Fund (FDF) was first set up by the Government in 1999 to support projects conducive to the long-term development of the film industry in Hong Kong. Since 2005, the Government has injected a total of $1.54 billion into FDF to support Hong Kong’s film industry along four strategic directions, namely nurturing talent, enhancing local production, expanding markets and building audience. In the past, FDF has supported a number of film productions and other film-related projects through various film production funding schemes and other film-related project schemes.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in Singapore is one of the representative offices of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in the ASEAN region, fostering the bilateral relations including closer economic and trade, cultural and people-to-people ties between Hong Kong and three ASEAN countries, namely Singapore, Vietnam and Laos, as well as India.

Through visits, business and networking events, and cultural performances, the HKETO has been working with stakeholders, such as local governments, business chambers and associations, media, and local Hong Kong community, to keep them abreast of the latest developments in Hong Kong.

香港驻新加坡经济贸易办事处（经贸办）是香港特别行政区政府在东盟地区的代表办事处之一，致力加强香港与三个东盟国家，包括新加坡、越南和老挝，以及印度之间的双边关係，促进更紧密的经贸、文化及人文连繫。

经贸办透过互访、商务和交流活动、文化表演等，与不同持份者包括当地政府、商会及协会、媒体及当地香港社群等紧密合作，让他们掌握香港的最新发展。

Tommy NG Kin Chung (吴启忠)

Tommy NG graduated from the School of Creative Media at City University of Hong Kong. He has directed award-winning animation shorts such as Everywhere, Another World, and Tale of Rebellious Stone, and created commercial and music-video work including Lie For You, which has over one million YouTube views. The 2019 short version of Another World won the top Grand Prize at the 21st DigiCon6 ASIA Award, while its 2025 feature-film version was selected for the Annecy International Animation Film Festival’s Midnight Specials.

吴启忠毕业于香港城市大学创意媒体学院，曾执导多部获奖动画短片，包括《Everywhere》、《世外》及《逆石谭》，亦曾为《刺客教条起源》、Nike Air Max 等国际品牌制作广告，并参与海内外多部MV，如《 Lie For You》，于YouTube累积超过一百万观看次数。2017年，他亦为香港电影《今晚打丧尸》创作动画。《世外》2019 年短片版于第21回 DigiCon6 ASIA 大赏夺得最高殊荣；2025年电影版则入选安锡国际动画电影节「午夜特别场」。

Tai is the middle-aged owner of an Internet cafe, but unfortunately, it is not doing so well. It is mostly empty, especially because, as his landlord points out, kids play games on their phones nowadays. He decides to participate in the Hong Kong One Shot Esports tournament and hopefully win the grand-prize money to save his business. Together, he group a team call themselves “Happy Hour”, and they will combine their strengths in gaming to win this fierce competition. It ain’t over till it’s game over!

一张全港电竞赛的征集海报，让想要拯救网吧的车仔决定组队。车仔、霏霏、八爷，三个菜鸟再加上一个急于证明自己的邦少，Happy Hour电竞队正式成立。亲情友情的羁绊化作电竞赛场的搏杀，一场不可能完成的战斗，让心怀梦想的他们不再抱憾。

We traced how Paws Guardian, a civilian organisation in Hong Kong, saved stray animals from 2019 to 2023. It details how those animals were neglected, abused… some were seriously injured, some were feasted on by parasites… some were abandoned because they weren’t nice to look at anymore… In 4 years, we filmed over 40 stray dogs, only 4 were finally adopted – a brutal reality!

由2019年至2023年间，追踪香港民间团体「毛守救援」的动物拯救过程，包括医治、暂托到领养，以「救一隻、活一隻」的精神将生命救回来。《毛家》纪录流浪动物由无家到「毛家」（毛孩的家），牠们被弃养、被虐待；有被砍掉半边头颅、有伤口溃烂、有被蛆虫侵蚀；有些花尽医疗费也救不到，有些因样貌外形不讨好而留在狗舍终老⋯⋯四时间追踪拍摄了超过四十隻流浪狗，结果成功入屋无奈地只得四隻，可见当中的得来不易，这就是现今流浪动物的残酷现况！

Mui was born with mild cerebral palsy. For her past 20-odd years, Mui has merely been surviving, not living. When Mui learns that her over-protective mother will make her get a hysterectomy to get rid of her menstruation, she realizes that she will never be a “woman” again. Recommended by her disabled friend Joe, she goes to Eva’s volunteer organization that provides sexual services for the disabled. Mui meets Ken, who chose to become a volunteer to help the disabled because he watched his late sister suffer in depression after a traffic accident left her crippled. Their deepening connection seems to heal two wounded souls.

阿妹天生患有脑性麻痺，性格却异常跳脱乐观，闲时会约朋友踩板吹水，画画作乐，二十多年来一直努力不被身体耽误。可是过度保护的母亲坚决安排她进行子宫切除手术，阿妹努力建立的生活再次失去平衡，她的身体永远是不由自主。在朋友推荐下，她找到了一个专为残疾人士提供性服务的自发组织，并认识了义工。这无私的相遇彷彿抚慰了两个受伤的灵魂，那日渐累积的情愫冲淡了道德与身体的羁绊，这样的关係，是爱吗？

The good-natured and gaumless piglet McDull has cheered up the lives of kids, professors, housewives and CEOs, because he epitomises the irrepressible and happy-go lucky spirit of Hong Kong. Swooping shots of bustling Kowloon streets, greasy cafes, plus sights and smells of local flavour fuse with animation, live object photography and 3-D computer graphics to provide 100% “Honkie” entertainment.

《麦兜故事》是关于一个香港土生土长的小朋友──麦兜的成长故事。麦兜决心要夺取奥运金牌，他在寻找梦想的过程中，却一次又一次遇上挫败。麦兜仍然凭藉勇气和乐观态度，创造他的美丽新世界！麦兜出生于单亲家庭，妈妈麦太是职业女性，从事过多种不同行业，在複杂的社会中努力求存。她把所有希望和爱，都寄託在儿子身上。《麦兜故事》富有香港特色，运用了全香港的真实场景，配合电脑动画，构成一次全新的视觉体验。电影描写的童年及成长经历，个中有笑有泪，令不同年龄的观众也有所共鸣。
